Minutes of the Osgodby Parish Council meeting held at 7.30pm at the Village Hall on Monday 8th April 2024

The Chairman welcomed everyone to the meeting.

Cycle pods - rubbish being dumped in them
Parking  in the village
Gigabit still rolling out in the area

2.   Reports from Unitary Councillors, Police & Village Hall if present - Ref: 138

Cllr J Trafford reported on behalf of the Village Hall - Fashion show 12/04/24, Litter picking 20/04/24 & Field day 28/04/24

The Village Hall had their AGM and members remained the same.

3.   Apologies for absence and acceptance of any reasons given - Ref: 139

Cllr A Boyles - no apology received

Cllr S Bunney (LCC/WLDC) - no apology received

4.   To receive declarations of interest in accordance with the requirements of the Localism Act  2011 and to consider any requests for dispensations - Ref: 140

None received

5.   To approve the draft minutes of the Council meeting held on 11th March 2024 - Ref: 141

It was resolved to approve the minutes as a true record.

6.   Clerk’s report on correspondence received  - Ref: 142

Update on parking from LCC

Street cleaning request for Usselby - notified WLDC

7.   Planning matters - Ref: 143

i.   Application no. 148000 - Proposal: Planning application for the part demolition and conversion of a nursing home to create 5no. Self-contained dwellings with associated new build garage facilities, parking & private access road. - Hill House Nursing Home, Sand Lane, Osgodby

i.   Accounting statements for the period ending 31/03/24 - Ref: 145

It was resolved to approve these as a true record

It was resolved to approve the payments of £997.67 as a true record.

9.   Medley Trust - Ref: 147

Cllr A Wilkinson was to look into the archives for further information

10.   His Majesty King Charles lll portrait - Ref: 148

The Clerk had applied for the free portrait and it was suggested it be given to the Village Hall

11.   Extension to cemetery - Ref: 149

As the cemetery is filling up and more land is required it was suggested that the adjoining landowner could be contacted with regards to purchasing further land. Cllr J Trafford was to try to make contact.

12.   Clerks salary - Ref: 150

Chair resolved to go into closed session - The Clerk left the room.

13.   Next meeting will be Monday 20th May 2024 at 7.30pm - Ref: 151
