FORTHCOMING ENGAGEMENTS
PCSO Evans will be attending the youth club evenings on Wednesday nights at the festival hall.
*Mini Police has paused for the time being as Primary schools limit visitors to school.
*PC Devlin has arranged to drop in at the Osgodby Parish Council Meeting in January, COVID restrictions permitting.
*PC Devlin has been in touch with Middle Rasen Parish Council who have requested a community forum in the New Year. Again, this will be arranged when it can be managed more safely.
*The Police Surgery was cancelled this month due to the threat of gathering large groups of people unnecessarily amidst the new variant. We will  continue to monitor the situation. Please keep an eye on Market Rasen Police Social media pages for a further Police surgery in the New Year. We are varying the time of day and days of the week they are held to accommodate as many people as possible, so far there has been low attendance.

LOCAL PRIORITY
Every three months, we listen to your concerns and look at recent crime statistics to shape the things we will concentrate on for the next three months. Our priority(s) for the next quarter is:
The Fatal 4  – Speeding, Drink Driving, Using Mobile Phones whist driving and Seatbelts. As nights and the weather draws in, society continues to reopen and any eye towards the New year festivities, we will take positive and proactive action to keep our roads and road users safe.
Youth ASB – The incident types reported vary across the District, but this is a consistent and key area reported back by our communities. We will continue to take a mixed and balanced proactive and educational approach looking wherever possible to identify longer term sustainable solutions and outcomes.
Rural Crime – With the fields having been cropped and nights getting longer our focus returns to night time rural offences be they thefts, poaching or other such matters. This issue is one reported upon widely by the community, intensifying during winter months. Operation Actaeon is jointly agreed alongside Neighbourhood Policing colleagues at East Lindsey designed to provide a joint and enhanced approached to tackling, rather than simply displacing, the issue.

WHAT’S BEEN HAPPENING
Calls for Service in December.
VIOLENCE – 20
CONCERN FOR WELFARE – 17
ASB – 12
SUSPICIOUS CIRCUMSTANCES – 11
THEFT – 6
RTC – 2
CRIMINAL DAMAGE – 3
MISSING PERSONS – 2
VEHICLE THEFT – 1
BURGLARY – 1

ROBBERY – 27/12/2021 (At The White Swan, Market Rasen. Two Males entered through an unlocked door and demanded money from the safe at knife point. CID Gainsborough are investigating. An extensive CCTV trawl has been carried out in the area and House to House enquiries have been made. Including trawls off domestic CCTV. Enquiries ongoing.)

After a 50% decrease in ASB reports last month, those figures have been maintained this month. Not all of these incidents involve youth ASB. They include vehicle nuisance, noise, drunken behaviour, and Trespass.

A number of residents in the Market Rasen area had Christmas lights damaged or stolen. Unfortunately, only a few reported this to the Police. We have viewed extensive amounts of CCTV, carried out House to House enquiries and made appeals for further information. No suspects have been identified.

PC Devlin has spoken to West Lindsey Council and since the last arson incident at the public toilets in Market Rasen. We are pleased to report that no further incidents at that location have occurred since the investigation and interview of suspects was carried out.

Please continue to report crime incidents using the methods on this page. NPT wish you a peaceful, healthy and safe New Year.
